Beiko ("we," "us," or "our") is a proximity-based social app operated by CuPod Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile app.

Profile photo
Bio and profile content
Email address (used for account creation)
Interests (selected during onboarding)
Information collected automatically:
Precise location (required for core app functionality — showing nearby users)
Device identifiers and tokens (for push notifications and security)
Usage data (such as Sparks sent, connections made, and session activity)
In-app purchase history
User-generated content:
Chat messages between connected users
Profile content and interactions
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Show your profile (name, photo, bio, and interests) as a pin on the map to nearby users during active sessions
Enable sending and receiving Sparks to connect with people nearby
Create connections and enable chat between users who mutually Spark each other
Send push notifications related to connections, messages, and activity
Process in-app purchases
Maintain safety, enforce our Terms of Service, and prevent abuse
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with:
Google Firebase (Google LLC) — for authentication, database (Firestore), storage, Cloud Messaging (FCM), and push notifications
Apple — for in-app purchase processing and push notification delivery
5. Location Data
Beiko requires access to your precise location to function. Your location is used only during active sessions to display nearby users. We do not retain long-term location history beyond what is necessary to operate the service.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time within the app. Account deletion will permanently remove your profile, photos, connections, and chat history from our systems within a reasonable period.
7. Children's Privacy
Beiko is intended only for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18.
8. Security
All data is transmitted using secure encryption (HTTPS/TLS). We rely on industry-standard security practices and Firebase infrastructure to protect your data.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also delete your account directly within the app at any time.
10. Push Notifications
Beiko may send push notifications related to connections, messages, and activity. You can manage or disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
